We loved the boat and majority of crew, including Santiago and Jaime. We were disappointed in the naturalist, Fatima. She’s very knowledgeable but also somewhat rude and uncaring. From the start when Galaxy messed up our arrival clearance, she wrote off the issue...

I want to start with the positive: the experience of touring the Galapagos Islands in a catamaran is simply spectacular. The boat Alya is very comfortable, the food is very good and the service of the crew was extraordinary.

Do you have any other questions?

Due to cabin space and small boat (panga) transfers, we recommend one suitcase (max 23 kg / 50 lbs) and one carry-on. Soft-sided luggage is highly preferred for easier storage within the cabin compartments.

The Galaxy Alya offers Wi-Fi onboard with StarLink service; however, the connection is satellite-based and could be intermittent due to the remote location of the islands.

Yes, we provide complimentary masks, snorkels, fins, and wetsuits for all guests during the cruise. Please provide your sizes in advance to ensure the best fit.

The Galaxy Alya is a catamaran (twin-hull), which offers significantly more stability than a single-hull yacht. While it minimizes rocking, if you are prone to motion sickness, we recommend bringing preventive medication like Dramamine or patches.

We use standard US power outlets (Type A & B, 110V). If you are traveling from Europe, Australia, or parts of Asia, you will need a universal power adapter.
